The University of Kansas and the Department of Civil, Environmental
and Architectural Engineering are committed to providing a high
quality education to the students.
Recently, the university has made strategic investments to support
the hiring of faculty with backgrounds in transportation-related
research interests. In August 2005, the federal government committed
$14.5 million in funding for KU's newly formed Transportation
Research Institute.
The department's faculty, students and staff enjoy the use of
several laboratories located in Learned Hall and other university
buildings.
The department is currently seeking applicants for its lecturer pool.
